"My Holy Grail". Huge amber caught near Kołobrzeg

A fisherman discovered a rare amber piece while retrieving nets from the sea, marking a significant find that occurs only once every several years. The amber was found at a depth of about 20 meters, 10 miles offshore. The fisherman plans to keep it as a cherished memento, recalling that a similar find occurred for his father over thirty years ago. The Polish Baltic coast is known for amber hunting, especially after storms, with the best locations being the Vistula Spit and areas around Ustka and Kołobrzeg. To effectively search for amber, it's recommended to go early in the morning or after storms, using a UV flashlight to identify the amber's glow and conducting a simple buoyancy test in saltwater.
