High school movement: after the school holidays, a return of blockades marked by an increase in tensions
Five days after the Toussaint break, student protests continue in several high schools, although the movement is less intense than in early October. Despite a decrease in participation, many schools remain disrupted or blocked. Tensions have increased, with more frequent confrontations reported. In Paris, around thirty out of 159 high schools face daily blockages. This resurgence of protests, particularly in Île-de-France and major cities, has led to growing concerns among families about the impact on education, especially with the approaching baccalaureate and Parcoursup deadlines. Remote learning options are limited, adding to the anxiety.
