Municipalities promote national meeting on housing

The National Association of Portuguese Municipalities (ANMP) will hold a national housing meeting on December 4 in Fátima to discuss increasing public housing stock. President Pedro Pimpão emphasized the need for collaboration among municipalities to address housing shortages, noting that public housing currently represents only 2% of the total. The meeting aims to bring together institutional leaders and sector representatives to find solutions. Additionally, Pimpão highlighted other municipal concerns, including overdue payments and decentralized funding. The ANMP advocates for 100% funding for eligible expenses and seeks to extend application deadlines for the Municipal Emergency Fund.
