After heavy Russian attacks: Large parts of Ukraine suddenly without electricity

Recent Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy and transport infrastructure have caused significant damage and power outages across multiple regions. Kyiv's mayor reported disruptions to heating and water supply due to the outages. A key bridge in Kyiv was also damaged and temporarily closed. President Zelenskyy described the assault as a combined attack involving missiles and drones, resulting in injuries to at least nine individuals. He called for more air defense systems from Western allies, while Germany stated it could not provide additional Patriot systems at this time. Russia justified its attacks by claiming Ukraine was using the damaged bridge for military transport.
