Natural gas and gasoline continue to decrease in price. The ministry is preparing another reduction of caps.
The Czech Ministry of Finance will accelerate the reduction of maximum fuel prices, with diesel dropping by 88 haléřů to 47.91 CZK per liter and gasoline by 80 haléřů to 41.84 CZK. This week has seen a continuous decline in price ceilings, following the government's extension of fuel price regulation until the end of November. The average price for gasoline is now 42.39 CZK, while diesel costs 48.08 CZK per liter. The government aims to lower fuel prices further by reducing the excise tax on diesel. The price regulation was previously implemented in the spring, costing the state budget approximately one billion CZK monthly. Fuel prices have been affected by geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, particularly following U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran.
