NKA case: Bálint Bús will definitely remain behind bars until Christmas

Bús Balázs's detention has been extended until December 25, as confirmed by the Kecskemét Court. The former vice president of the National Cultural Fund (NKA) faces charges of mismanagement causing significant financial loss related to NKA support. He was initially arrested on June 25 for 30 days, which was later extended to October 25. The prosecution requested further extension on October 19, citing ongoing concerns about the risk of flight and evidence tampering. The NKA is accused of improperly approving over 1,079 grants exceeding 17 billion HUF from December 2024. Bús is also implicated in a corruption case in Óbuda and is currently held in Szeged's Csillag prison.
