Night prohibition across Poland. The Senate supported it, amendments were introduced
The Senate unanimously approved amendments to the Alcohol Education Act, introducing a nationwide ban on alcohol sales from 10 PM to 6 AM, with exceptions for restaurants. Local governments can extend these hours. Sellers must verify buyers' ages, and advertising alcohol is banned, with penalties ranging from 30,000 to 1 million PLN. A notable amendment allows advertising non-alcoholic beer, decided by a single vote. The Senate also permitted alcohol advertising in wholesalers and restaurants. Other amendments include allowing night sales at airports and organizing educational events for craft breweries. The Senate rejected a proposal to ban home delivery of online alcohol purchases. The new regulations are set to take effect in June 2027.
