Notaries – we are not like the coalmen!

The V International Congress of Portuguese Notariat took place in Alcobaça, focusing on transnational succession, digital inheritance, and the EUDI Wallet. It marked the 20th anniversary of the Notaries' Order, highlighting the evolution of notaries from public servants to liberal professionals. Despite challenges from legislative changes that impacted their role, notaries remain resilient and committed to justice, emphasizing their importance in society. The congress addressed contemporary issues and reaffirmed the notaries' role as trusted public officials, adapting to modern needs with innovative services.
