A new road to Warsaw will cut through the housing estates

Plans are underway for a new road alternative to Wał Miedzeszyński, which currently faces heavy traffic from surrounding areas. A project was presented by Mariusz Kozera from the Mazowiecki Road Authority, revealing only one proposed route instead of the previously mentioned three. This route will follow a corridor established decades ago and will include a two-lane road with designated turning lanes, sidewalks, and bike paths. Concerns were raised by residents about the impact on local neighborhoods, noise, and air pollution. The timeline for completion is estimated between 2033 and 2035, depending on the approval process and potential protests.
