The agent files will be made public
On Wednesday, data on former agents from the previous regime will be made public after 36 years. The State Security Services Historical Archives will launch a searchable website containing information on tens of thousands of former agents. Prime Minister Péter Magyar and Minister Zoltán Tarr will attend the event. Three document types will be available: 6-type cards, B (recruitment) logs, and H (network) data archives, with more detailed B files to be released by February 25. Former Prime Minister Viktor Orbán revealed he was approached for recruitment during his military service in the 1980s but declined. This announcement follows recent media discussions regarding his involvement.
