Ołeszki after the truce. Head of the city administration: not everyone was able to evacuate
A ceasefire in Ołeszkach began on October 27 and lasted until November 1, allowing for humanitarian aid and civilian evacuation. Tatiana Hasanenko, the head of the local administration, reported that a former school director was killed in a drone attack. Many residents were unaware of the evacuation and faced challenges in receiving adequate humanitarian assistance. Some residents remained hidden in basements, lacking information about the ceasefire and fearing Russian filtration processes. The U.S. confirmed that around 2,000 people, including 50 children, were cut off from food and water, with dangerous conditions hindering their escape.
