Compensation despite the statute of limitations. Former board member versus PZU
PZU's extraordinary general meeting authorized the management to pursue claims against Ernest Bejda, a former board member, for damages related to a settlement with the Lux Veritatis foundation. Despite the statute of limitations, the resolution allows legal action due to alleged mismanagement. Bejda defended the settlement as beneficial, stating it reduced potential losses significantly. The meeting also approved the issuance of subordinated capital bonds worth up to 3 billion PLN. Bejda, who previously led the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau, joined PZU's board in 2020 after a legal career.
