OE2027. BE advances with 30 proposals for housing and the return of the 'autovoucher' for fuels

The Left Bloc (BE) has proposed 30 amendments to the 2027 State Budget focusing on housing issues, including rent caps and increased taxes on investment funds. They also advocate for the return of the 'autovoucher' for fuel prices. BE's proposals include a maximum rent for new leases, a 1% cap on rent increases, and a 30-day grace period for overdue rents. Additionally, they suggest that the public bank, Caixa Geral de Depósitos, should halt mortgage rate increases for a year. The party seeks to eliminate tax benefits for real estate funds and impose higher taxes on property acquisitions by large investors. Other proposals include transferring state-owned housing to public institutions and regulating local accommodation. BE also calls for a monthly fuel voucher and an increase in the minimum wage to €1,050.
