Fees for ROD plots sharply up. Increases of up to 1200 PLN

Gardeners are raising concerns that new fees for land use could be unaffordable for many retirees and pensioners, urging urgent legislative changes. Local governments are now allowed to charge up to 3% of the land's market value, significantly increasing costs for garden plot maintenance. In some regions, annual fees could rise by as much as 1200 PLN. The Polish Gardeners' Association suggests a reduced rate of 0.1% to prevent abandonment of plots. Despite these concerns, the Ministry of Development sees no need for legislative changes, citing that only a small fraction of garden areas are affected by these fees.
