Here are the fuel prices for the weekend. There are reductions.
The Polish Ministry of Energy announced new maximum fuel prices for the weekend and Monday, with petrol 95 at 6.12 PLN, petrol 98 at 6.80 PLN, and diesel at 7.83 PLN. These prices reflect a decrease from the previous maximums. This announcement is part of the third iteration of the Fuel Price Lowering Package (CPN), aimed at curbing fuel price increases and reducing costs for drivers. The package includes a temporary reduction in excise duty and VAT on liquid fuels, funded by a new tax on oil companies with excessive profits. A 60% tax on extraordinary profits from fuel sales will apply from March 2026 to March 2027. The first CPN package was introduced in March in response to rising oil prices due to geopolitical tensions, followed by a second package in August without excise tax reductions.
