Overasselt suspect released due to lack of evidence

The Arnhem court previously found sufficient evidence linking a Rotterdammer to the attack on drug criminal Jan G. on August 31. A group of men attacked G.'s home, resulting in gunfire and the death of security guard Berry. Nathan K., along with his brother Jamie and cousin Anthony, was arrested near a gas station in Nijmegen. Messages on Jamie's phone indicated they had been in Belgium, mistakenly believing they were to assault someone. They were later offered money to go to Overasselt but were turned away by police. The prosecution holds over thirty suspects accountable for Berry's murder and attempted murder of two police officers. Nathan K.'s lawyer argued that the serious suspicions against him were no longer tenable, and the court agreed.
