Palestinian activist gets stickered mobile home back, but must leave Antwerp immediately
The city of Antwerp has decided to release the stickered mobile home of Palestinian activist Omar Almaani, who must pay towing and administrative fees. However, he is required to leave Antwerp immediately. Almaani's drive through the Jewish neighborhood was deemed a political demonstration, necessitating prior approval for such activities. He was previously detained for allegedly provoking public disorder. Almaani claims he was following GPS directions and was unaware of his route. His vehicle will be prohibited from entering the Jewish area for three months, and any future entry with the vehicle will require a permit. The city has also informed the Norwegian embassy about the situation, as Almaani resides in Norway but has family in Gaza.
