Poles have fallen in love with Blik. The statistics are impressive

In the third quarter of 2026, Blik users made an average of 8.9 million transactions daily, with a peak of 13 million on the busiest day. Online payments increased by 10% year-on-year, totaling 384.3 million transactions worth 64 billion PLN. Users also conducted 206.5 million phone transfers, up 11%, with an average transfer amount of 187 PLN. In physical stores, contactless payments accounted for nearly 47% of transactions. Blik is now used in 181 countries, with new usage in Bhutan, Algeria, Madagascar, and the Central African Republic. The system is developed by Polski Standard Płatności, backed by several major banks and Mastercard.
