Poles among the world leaders in terms of days off work and official holidays

An expert shared insights on social media regarding Poland's working hours and upcoming holiday closures. Starting January 1, 2027, funeral benefits will be processed online by funeral homes. Grzegorz Siemionczyk noted that Poland will have four consecutive days of store closures around Christmas due to a combination of holidays and new regulations. He highlighted that the average working hours in Poland have decreased, with 251 working days this year, leading to approximately 1800 hours of work annually. This reflects a trend of reduced working hours, contradicting the perception of Poles as a hard-working nation. Additionally, many employees may enjoy five consecutive days off due to holiday regulations.
