Poland launches a scientific cooperation program with four countries
Poland is launching a pilot program with a budget of 12 million PLN to enhance academic cooperation with Turkey, South Korea, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam. The initiative aims to foster scientific exchange and joint research projects, with a focus on establishing a Polish-Vietnamese Research Station. This facility will be supported by the University of Warsaw and AGH University of Science and Technology, with an initial funding of 1.6 million PLN. Additionally, a recent agreement increased the scholarship exchange limit for Vietnamese students to 50, with the Vietnamese government covering travel costs. The program addresses demographic challenges in Poland's higher education sector, as future student numbers are expected to decline. Minister Kulasek emphasized that internationalization is crucial for Polish universities, which attract foreign students due to high educational standards and lower living costs compared to Western Europe.
