Receipts and invoices, the Tax Authority bans speed-up software

The Italian Revenue Agency is targeting software that accelerates the transmission of electronic receipt data. In response to a parliamentary inquiry, the Ministry of Economy confirmed that technical solutions are being tested to intercept and inhibit the use of such software. These applications can mask interactions with the Agency's official web procedure, potentially violating tax certification obligations and jeopardizing data collection crucial for combating tax evasion. Currently, about 95% of merchants use electronic cash registers for compliance, while the remaining 5% rely on the online procedure.
