Wojciech Król, a Polish MP, was arrested in court on corruption charges related to tram infrastructure modernization. The Katowice District Court ordered his detention after allegations of accepting bribes from entrepreneurs. Król has publicly denied these accusations, despite facing four charges from the European Public Prosecutor's Office.
