Several flights from Prague to Paris received bomb threats
Several European countries initiated investigations on Friday due to bomb threats affecting numerous flights. French, Portuguese, Czech, and Bulgarian authorities reported dozens of incoming and outgoing flights received threatening messages. In France, four flights were impacted, while Portugal had one, and a total of eleven flights were involved at Prague and Sofia airports. All aircraft landed safely and were subsequently inspected. The threats prompted the deployment of Hungarian Gripens. Investigations revealed that some flights were headed to or from Bulgaria, with additional threats reported from the UK, Denmark, and Spain. No explosives were found during inspections, and no flights were canceled or redirected. In Ireland, media buildings were evacuated due to a bomb threat email, with suspicions of a group behind multiple threats across Europe.
