Price of gas and oil decreased, lowest gasoline price since July

Gas prices have significantly decreased after months of rising, dropping to around 88 euros per megawatt-hour, a 15% decline since the U.S. midterm elections. The European gas price peaked at nearly 104 euros per megawatt-hour before this drop. Oil prices are also falling, with crude oil dipping below 100 dollars per barrel for the first time in over a month, leading to lower gasoline prices at the pump. Diesel prices have decreased as well, now at 2.647 euros per liter. However, the impact of these price changes may not be immediately reflected in energy bills, as suppliers often delay passing on reductions. The effect of the U.S. election results on ongoing conflicts and oil prices remains uncertain.
