Problems with chicken meat at Lidl continue. Inspectors have again found salmonella in it.
On Friday, Czech veterinarians recalled chicken breasts from Lidl due to salmonella contamination, marking a repeated issue with Romanian meat this year. The State Veterinary Administration advised consumers not to eat the affected product, which has a use-by date of November 7 and batch number 0043000833. Approximately 345 kilograms were imported, with much already withdrawn from sale. This incident follows a previous warning about salmonella in chicken from Romania and Hungary. Salmonella can cause serious illness, particularly in vulnerable populations, and can be eliminated through proper cooking.
