Prostitutes must record their revenues due to EET. I'm curious about the inspections, says the expert.
The Czech Constitutional Court has ruled that sex workers must pay taxes on their income, confirming the stance of financial authorities. This decision mandates that sex workers record their earnings under the new electronic sales registration system (EET). While sex work does not require a business license, income from it is treated like any other self-employed activity. The financial administration has clarified that cash payments will be subject to this registration, and sex workers can opt for a simplified tax regime if their income is below a million crowns. The implementation of EET will begin in January, with a pilot month followed by stricter enforcement.
