Breakthrough in the investigation of the grenade launcher explosion at the command. Key materials from Ukraine
The investigation into the explosion involving a grenade launcher at the Polish National Police Headquarters has resumed after receiving documents from Ukraine. Although the legal assistance request was not fully fulfilled, the materials allowed for the investigation to continue. Two scenarios are being considered: a mistake or deliberate substitution of the grenade launchers. Former police chief Jarosław Szymczyk faces charges related to illegal possession of weapons and causing danger to life. The explosion occurred in December 2022 when Szymczyk was handling the grenade launchers, which were reportedly presented as used gifts from Ukraine.
