Return of trains to Alcântara-Terra on weekends brings one per hour in each direction

Starting December 13, trains will resume service on weekends between Alcântara-Terra and Castanheira do Ribatejo, with one train per hour in each direction. The first train departs Alcântara-Terra at 6:26 AM, and the last train leaves Castanheira do Ribatejo at 9:39 PM. This marks the return of weekend services after an 11-year hiatus, responding to public demand for better connectivity. The Ministry of Infrastructure acknowledged high demand on weekends, prompting this service enhancement. The trains will stop at all stations during weekdays, maintaining a similar travel time as before. The new schedule is already available for ticket purchases on the CP website.
