The climate resort wants to cover the "monkeys" with a deposit
The Ministry of Climate and Environment has approved a legislative proposal to expand the deposit system to include one-time glass bottles for alcoholic beverages. The spokesperson clarified that this will not cover other types of drinks in glass bottles. The amendment will also establish a minimum validity period of 90 days for deposit vouchers. The deposit system, effective from October 1, 2025, requires large stores to accept empty containers with a deposit mark. Currently, it includes plastic bottles, metal cans, and from January 1, 2026, reusable glass bottles. The goal is to meet EU recycling targets by 2028 and 2029.
