Novo Nordisk's pharmaceutical results rise 14% to 11.5 billion by September

Novo Nordisk reported a 14% increase in net profit to €11.5 billion for the first nine months of 2026, driven by a 13% rise in net sales to €34.1 billion. The operational profit also rose by 14% to €14.7 billion. However, the third quarter saw a 16% decline in profit compared to 2025, impacted by non-cash impairment charges related to production adjustments and a failed drug project. Despite this, the company raised its annual sales forecast, anticipating growth driven by its obesity treatment products, Ozempic and Wegovy.
