Roadworks on S8. The route is getting congested

Roadworks are taking place on the S8 route near Opacz, linked to the expansion of the A2 motorway. Workers are occupying two lanes, causing traffic disruptions and congestion on both S8 and the S2 exit. The A2 expansion project, valued at nearly 1.5 billion PLN, aims to add a third lane in each direction to accommodate increasing traffic, which currently sees 60,000 to 100,000 vehicles daily. Construction is ongoing while maintaining two lanes open in both directions throughout the project.
