The expansion of the A2 has not started. There is also no speed measurement.
The expansion of the A2 highway between Warsaw and Łódź faces delays as construction was expected to start on November 4. The Łódź branch of GDDKiA stated that documentation for detours is still being reviewed. Strabag, responsible for the temporary traffic organization, will take until November 20 to install signs and barriers before actual construction begins. Despite the ongoing work, two lanes will remain open in each direction throughout the project, which is set to be completed in stages by 2028. Speed measurement devices will not be operational at the start of the renovation, with installation expected to begin soon.
