A recent survey by the European Investment Bank reveals that a significant majority of EU citizens prioritize a transition to renewable energy, with 87% supporting low-emission energy sources. The study, conducted with Ipsos BVA, highlights a growing urgency for action ahead of the COP31 climate summit. Despite geopolitical tensions affecting energy prices, public support for renewable energy remains strong, with 52% favoring solar energy and 37% wind energy. In Poland, citizens express a desire for energy transformation to reduce costs and enhance security, with 67% deeming it urgent. The survey indicates that Poles feel less impact from rising energy prices compared to the EU average, and many prefer a competitive clean technology industry over quick fixes.
