The judge fatally hit a pedestrian. Experts will determine at what speed she was driving

On June 15, a judge in Świdnik hit an 83-year-old pedestrian, who later died in the hospital. The judge was sober and has not had her driving license revoked. Concerns were raised about the investigation's pace, particularly regarding the speed of the vehicle and the pedestrian's sobriety. Prosecutor Bartłomiej Świderski stated that the investigation is ongoing, with evidence being collected, including video footage and technical assessments of the vehicle. No charges have been filed yet, and the police emphasized that decisions regarding license revocation are made on a case-by-case basis. The case has been transferred to the District Prosecutor's Office in Siedlce after the local prosecutor recused themselves.
