Survey indicates that Europeans want to combat climate change but not at any cost

A survey by YouGov reveals that a majority of Europeans acknowledge climate change and support combating it, but not at any cost. Conducted in six countries, including the UK and Germany, the survey shows that 69% to 75% of respondents believe in shared responsibility among nations. A higher percentage, 79% to 87%, agrees that collaborative efforts are more effective. While many express concern about climate issues, preferred measures are those that minimally impact daily life, such as banning single-use plastics and planting trees. Conversely, more intrusive actions like increasing fuel taxes or reducing meat consumption are less favored. Respondents are more inclined to take small personal actions rather than significant lifestyle changes.
