Suspect of child pornography in preventive detention

A Judicial Court in Évora has ordered the preventive detention of a 35-year-old man suspected of child pornography and aggravated sexual abuse of minors. The man was arrested in the act by local police and presented to the court for an initial hearing. He is now held at the Elvas Prison while the investigation continues. Authorities reported that he possessed thousands of files containing sexual exploitation material, including photos and videos. There are strong suspicions that he sexually abused a child aged between 6 and 13 years. During searches, police seized a mobile phone, a laptop, and other evidence relevant to the case.
