Zoltán Tarr established an independent body to address the social impacts of agent files

Starting November 4, digital copies of historical security service documents will be available online. This initiative is seen as a first step towards addressing historical grievances, with a call for an independent expert committee to provide professional recommendations for healing societal wounds. The committee includes various specialists from theology, psychology, history, and sociology. Minister Tarr Zoltán emphasized the importance of open dialogue and understanding to foster social trust. Prime Minister Magyar Péter noted that this move addresses a 36-year-old debt and requires patience from the public as past traumas are discussed. The documents will be released in two phases, with the next phase set for February 2027.
