The budget continues to pay for district heating providers

The Hungarian government has decided to allocate 40 billion HUF from the Household Utility Protection Fund to support district heating, effective from October 1, 2026. Additionally, 9 billion HUF will be transferred to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for operational expenses related to the Brexit Adjustment Reserve, established to assist Hungarian businesses affected by the UK's exit from the EU.
