Vitézy Dávid appointed a new leader for air traffic controllers

Starting January 1, Éva Kállai will lead the state-owned HungaroControl, as announced by Minister Dávid Vitézy. Kállai has over 20 years of experience in aviation and joined HungaroControl in 2023. She previously served as Deputy State Secretary in the Ministry of Technology and Industry. The company, responsible for air traffic control in Hungary and Kosovo, was led by Ferenc Turi since August 1, 2024, who was appointed after issues arose under former CEO László Tóth. Turi improved operations, significantly reducing delays despite increasing air traffic. The reasons for his departure remain unclear.
