The Videoton FC is being sold again

The Székesfehérvár municipality has announced a new tender for the sale of Videoton FC, managed by Fehérvár FC Kft., with applications due by November 27. This process has been ongoing for a year and a half, initiated by István Garancsi's offer to sell the club for one forint after its relegation. The municipality took ownership for one season but has been seeking a private buyer since. Previous attempts to sell the club have failed, including negotiations with Final Third LLC and Racing City Group Worldwide. Mayor András Cser-Palkovics indicated that the sales process is restarting, with the municipality initially agreeing to fund only youth teams. Currently, Videoton FC is eighth in the second division, nine points behind the promotion playoff spot.
