Ukraine: Massive power problems after Russian attacks
Recent Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy and transport infrastructure have caused widespread power outages and significant damage. Key areas affected include Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Zhytomyr. Kyiv's mayor reported disruptions to heating and water supply due to power loss. A vital bridge over the Dnipro River was also damaged and temporarily closed. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described the assault as a combined attack involving missiles and drones, resulting in injuries to at least nine individuals. Meanwhile, Germany's Defense Minister Boris Pistorius stated that no additional Patriot missile systems can be supplied to Ukraine at this time. Russia justified its attacks by claiming Ukraine was using the damaged bridge for military transport.
