A man began shooting indiscriminately at passersby in the main square of Krakow

A shooting incident occurred in Krakow's main square, where a man opened fire on pedestrians, resulting in five deaths and multiple injuries. Witnesses reported rapid gunfire resembling machine gun bursts. Two police officers were also injured during the attack. Local businesses and restaurants were locked down as employees and customers barricaded themselves inside. The shooter has been apprehended and is being treated for injuries sustained during his arrest. Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that the Interior Minister is providing ongoing updates regarding the situation and that the police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack.
