In late October, it was reported that the MNB filed a complaint against Raw Development Kft. due to a bank guarantee related to the costly renovation of its headquarters. The renovation, which has escalated to a hundred billion forints, has prompted the new MNB president, Mihály Varga, to take legal action, including a civil lawsuit for approximately 27 billion forints. The MNB has submitted two new requests to the Budapest Police regarding the renovation and related bank guarantees, citing attacks on previous management's business interests. The MNB also highlighted that they had previously reported over 4,700 warranty defects related to the renovation work. The MNB remains committed to transparent and responsible management and will continue to assist in the investigation.
