Suspects Tarwekamp: plan went from stealing wedding dresses to arson
The court in The Hague sought clarity on the events leading to a devastating explosion at a bridal shop two years ago, which resulted in six fatalities. The main suspect, Moshtag B., was questioned about his relationship with his ex-girlfriend, whose bridal shop was targeted. Initially, he was generous, but later became possessive and jealous, leading to controlling behavior. Months before the explosion, he contacted co-defendants Mourad B., Ilias B., and Adil A. to plan an attack, initially considering theft before escalating to arson. They purchased supplies, including 170 liters of gasoline, and conducted research on effective incendiaries. On December 7, the explosion occurred while Moshtag B. was in London, unaware of the extent of the plan.
