Verstappen surprised by second place in championship standings: 'We have turned it around significantly'

Max Verstappen expressed surprise at being second in the championship ahead of the São Paulo Grand Prix. He acknowledged the team's struggles early in the season but noted significant improvements in car performance. Verstappen emphasized the team's perseverance and learning throughout the season, leading to recent successes. He remains uncertain about Red Bull's competitiveness in Brazil due to tight competition among teams. The absence of a sprint race this year allows for more practice time, which could be beneficial or detrimental. Verstappen humorously mentioned installing a virus scanner on his car to avoid software issues, while looking forward to a potentially exciting wet race.
