In Krakow, tickets will be cheaper. But only some and not right away

Kraków's Mayor Łukasz Gibała announced a reduction in public transport ticket prices starting September 1, 2027. Monthly network tickets will cost 90 PLN instead of 99 PLN, and half-year tickets will also see price cuts. Additionally, Gibała is working on reinstating a 20-minute ticket priced at 4 PLN, which is expected to be implemented on January 4, 2027. This decision follows a campaign promise to lower transport costs, particularly after the previous mayor's unpopular fare increases led to his removal.
