Warsaw warns Europe: Do not negotiate with Moscow over our heads

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski emphasized the importance of including Eastern and Central Europe in discussions about European security, warning against Western Europe negotiating with Russia without their input. He noted that Eastern European countries have long warned about threats from Moscow, which were largely ignored until the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Meanwhile, Donald Tusk urged caution regarding Vladimir Putin's intentions and highlighted Poland's recent security operations along its border with Russia. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni criticized the lack of coordination in European diplomacy and called for a unified European representative in negotiations. Sikorski supported Meloni's stance, stressing that Europe must have a legitimate voice in talks affecting its security.
