Yemen: Dozens dead in an attack on a market, Houthis and government forces blame each other
On November 6, a bombing at a market in Yemen resulted in numerous casualties, with both Houthi forces and the Saudi-backed government blaming each other for the attack. The incident occurred in Taiz governorate, where Houthi forces have besieged the city. The Houthi-controlled health ministry reported 30 deaths and 8 injuries, claiming Saudi airstrikes were responsible. Conversely, government forces accused the Houthis of launching a ballistic missile at the market. The conflict, reignited in July, has seen increased military actions from both sides, including Saudi airstrikes and Houthi attacks on Saudi infrastructure. Recently, Saudi forces intercepted a drone near Mecca, while the coalition reported intercepting a missile allegedly fired by the Houthis.
