Murder in the forest. Three people acquitted

In September 2015, a 31-year-old man was murdered in a forest near Ostrów Mazowiecka during a criminal transaction involving illegal arms sales. His body was discovered nearly a year later, buried and concealed with chemicals. Four men were charged in connection with the murder, with one receiving a 15-year sentence for shooting the victim. However, the Białystok Court of Appeals overturned previous convictions, acquitting three defendants and questioning the reliability of the sole witness, who had implicated them. The court found insufficient evidence to prove their presence at the crime scene. The prosecutor plans to appeal the decision.
