He got tangled in a fishing net. "I've been swimming for 20 years, but I've never had a catch like this"

Patryk Rewiński, a fisherman from Kołobrzeg, discovered a rare amber piece weighing about 150 grams while retrieving nets. He noted that such a find is exceptional, as he has been fishing for 20 years without encountering anything like it. The last similar piece was found by his father over 30 years ago. Baltic amber is highly valued, with prices ranging from 6,000 to 20,000 PLN per kilogram, depending on its characteristics. Amber containing inclusions can be worth significantly more, while white amber can reach prices of up to 50,000 PLN per kilogram. Collecting amber for personal use does not require permits.
